Donna J. Carpenter, 68, of Florence, passed from this earth to eternal peace with her Lord and savior, in her home on March 13, 2025. Donna was a member of Oakland Church of Christ.
Donna was preceded by her father Joseph W. Johnson when she was only six years old; Donna’s stepfather Neil B. Bergman Sr. who loved her as his own; son-in-law Mark Edward Glover Sr.; paternal grandparents Manuel Johnson Sr., Catherine Mitchell Johnson; maternal grandparents George D. Romans and Esther Reynolds Romans.
Donna is survived by her daughter Jessica Carpenter Glover; grandchildren, Hope Glover Young (Tatum) and Mark Edward Glover; the father of her only child, Eddy Carpenter; mother Thelma J. Bergman; brothers Neil B. Bergman Jr. and Phillip Ray Bergman; sisters Susan Bergman Olive (Johnny), Cynthia Larue, and Carol Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews. She loved her grandchildren with all her heart.
Donna loved the beach and Sonic ice. There will be a memorial service at a later date.

Dear Thelma and family, I was shocked and really sad to hear that Donna had passed away so recently. Please know my heart is with you all. I have really wonderful memories of feeling like I was a member of the family, and I treasure those times. Donna was my nearest and dearest! Please let me know if you have a service that the public may attend. I would truly love to be there.
