Billy Joe Hodges, age 87, of Decatur, passed away April 3, 2025. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

He is preceded in death by his son, Billy Joe Hodges II; two sisters, two brothers; and parents, Chalmer and Mattie Cole Hodges.

Billy is survived by his son, Christopher “Chris” Hodges; granddaughters, Brandee Hodges, Cassidy Hodges, and Kristie Hodges; great-grandchildren, Hayden Sain, Caslynn Wilson, and Dakota Hodges; numerous nieces and nephews.

Billy was a 1937 graduate of Waterloo High School. He retired from Lincoln Brass in Detroit, Michigan. Billy was a hard worker with many hobbies, but he enjoyed spending time with his family and loved ones more than anything else. Billy will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
