McArthur Lindley Sr., 81, of Florence passed away August 24, 2025. Visitation will be Friday, August 29 from 10:30 – 12:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home in Florence.
He is preceded in death by his son, Mac Lindley, Jr.
Mr. Lindley is survived by his ex-wife of 59 years, Linda Lindley; children, Anita McLeary, Lacey Hendrix, Logan Lindley, and Taylor Lindley. Additional survivors include siblings, Billy Lindley, James Lindley, Carolyn Holmes, Peggy Branscome, and Ida Hulon; grandchildren, Matthew McLeary, Kaley Harbin, Cory McLeary, Kensley Hendrix, Kylie Hendrix, Myles Hendrix, and Lakota Lindley; great-grandchildren, Lyla Harbin, Ella Harbin, and Max McLeary.
Mr. Lindley served in the military with the 115th Signal Battalion and later retired from BellSouth, where he worked for many years in the telecommunications industry.

I was saddened to hear of Mac’s passing. I met Mac at a Dale Carnegie class in the early 90’s and discovered that were cousins. He was one of the nicest men I ever met. We lost contact after I moved from the Shoals. Our sincere condolences to his family
