Eric Wayne Bevis, age 47 of Florence, passed away on October 4, 2025. Services were held private.  Williams Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Edward and Barbara Dempsey; his grandmother,  Arvella Baskins;  his grandfather, Wilburn Bevis,  and his mother-in-law, Susan Galloway.

Eric is survived by his wife of 30 years, Cherry Bevis’ his parents Dennis and Julia Allen;  2 children, Ashley Bevis (Quinn) and Jacob Bevis (Jorden); 3 brothers, Wayne Allen, Rocky Phillips, and Tony Allen;  1 sister, Casey Retherford; 5 grandchildren; Jenlee Bevis, Renellie Bevis, Emma Rayne Bevis, Maya Stevens, and Jynxx Bevis;  numerous niece, nephews, cousins and his sister, and brother-in-laws.

Eric was a certified chef, and cooking was far more than a profession to him- it was his true passion. He poured his heart into every dish, always eager to share his love of food with family, friends, and anyone lucky enough to sit at his table. His creativity wasn’t limited to the kitchen. Eric had an imaginative soul and a talent for making everyday moments special. Star Wars was Eric’s favorite movie series, he collected many Star Wars figures, clothing, and light sabers. Baby Yoda was his favorite Star Wars character.  Eric also enjoyed watching Marvel movies, Deadpool was his favorite character. He loved joking around just like Ryan Reynolds.

Outside the kitchen, Eric found peace and joy in nature, epically while fishing – one of his favorite pastimes. Eric’s warmth, humor, and kindness will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His legacy lives on in the meals we share, the stories we tell, and the love we carry forward.
