Wanda Faye Perkins, age 83, of Florence, passed away October 10, 2025. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 14 from 11:00 – 1:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home in Florence. The funeral will start at 1 pm with Jimmy Shields and Tim Wooten officiating. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Michael (Mike) Richardson and Ronnie Richardson; mother, Stella Mae Littrell Richardson; and father, Noah C. Richardson.

Wanda is survived by her loving husband, Charles E. Perkins; children, Kimberly P. Schoppa (Gary); brother, Joey Richardson; and step-grandson, Chris A. Schoppa.

Wanda was known for her gentle and kind spirit, which was beautifully reflected in the care she gave to her garden. She found joy and peace among her flowers, tending to them with the same love she showed to those around her.

She served with dedication working at the Circuit Court Clerk for the State of Alabama until her retirement. In her free time, Wanda poured her heart into caring for animals, especially the dogs and cats at the Lauderdale County Animal Shelter—a place dear to her heart.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Lauderdale County Animal Shelter in Wanda’s memory at 3240 Robertson Rd, Florence, Alabama.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Hospice of North Alabama for their compassionate care, with special thanks to staff member Lisa Chandler for her exceptional kindness and support.
