Patrick Anthony Mooney of Florence passed away November 1, 2025 at Helen Keller Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his wife Carol, his parents Michael and Eileen Mooney, and his sisters Kathleen Mooney and Maureen Mooney.
Patrick is survived by his daughter Shay Oliver, his brother Michael Mooney (wife Terrie), numerous grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A celebration of life will be held on July 7th, 2026.

Dear Mooney Family, I was saddened to hear of Pat’s passing. I have many fond memories of our high school years together. Please know I am remembering your Dad, brother, and grandfather in my thoughts and prayers, as well as all of you, now and in the days ahead.

Dear Mooney family, I too, am sad to learn of Pat’s passing and to also read that his wife, Carol, and two sisters had preceded him in death. What a loss. My heart is heavy for Pat’s daughter, Shay, and brother, Mike and Terrie. Pat was a good guy. He had a good work ethic. When he was able to drive before us, he gave Sandy and me rides to extra curricular activities. I was always happy to see and spend time with him when he came back for class reunions. We met at the coffee shop when he was visiting North Platte. I appreciated his gentle nature. He was one of the good ones. I will miss seeing him at our 50th reunion. My condolences and prayers.
