Paul David Briley, age 79, of Florence, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2025.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 7th from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon at Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at 12:00 pm with Brother Jack Nix officiating. Burial will be at Poplar Creek Cemetery Colbert County. Pallbearers are Jay Nix, Hunter Briley, Parker Briley, Doug Matney, Scott Gifford, and William Gifford; Honorary Pallbearer is Jessie Gifford.
He was preceded in death by his parents Reverend Curtis and Mildred Briley; wife, Pat Briley; sister, Linda Nix (Junior).
Survivors are his sons, Larry Briley (Michele) and Chris Briley (Michelle); brother, Dexter Briley (Kay); grandchildren, Hunter, Parker, Kira, Sawyer, Dawson, Parker, and Sidney; great-granddaughter, Emerson; several nieces and nephews.
Paul was retired with Lauderdale County Board of Education with Wilson High School and was employed with England Brother’s Salvage. He was a member of Jones Chapel Church and Muscle Shoals Area Street Rod Association. Special thanks to Gentiva Hospice for their love and care.

I just found out about Paul David’s passing today, August 14 and am heartbroken. I didn’t know about Pat’s passing until now either. My sincere thoughts and prayers to Larry and Chris as well as all my other southern relatives.
I did not know him met him about 10 years ago but I learned a lot about him in that time eat breakfast with him a lot he was very easy to talk to he was very good man
