Joe Esteban Cruz, 79, of Florence, passed away January 31, 2026. Visitation will be Monday, January 9th at Williams Funeral Home from 12:00 – 2:00 pm followed by military honors in Greenview Cemetery.
He is preceded in death by parents, Miguel and Carmen Cruz; wife, Carol M. Cruz; and son, Papi Ciprian.
Mr. Cruz is survived by his children, Adrienne Solee, Joseph P. Cruz, Jay McMurtrey, Selena Jimenez, and Isa Ciprian. Additional survivors include his siblings, Margaret Cochran, Florentina Cruz, Carmen Santos, and Peter Cruz; grandchildren, Ethan McMurtrey, Aria Oliver, Ambrose Hampton-Cummings, and Liam McMurtrey.
Dad loved fishing, camping, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was with his children and grandchildren every day, because family meant everything to him.
