“DADDY’S HOME”
Where is home? At the age of 12 he gave his heart to Jesus Christ to be Savior and Lord of his life and faithfully served Him all the days of his life. Where is home when you breathe your last breath? This is a question that is pondered by all.
“HAPPY HEAVENLY BIRTHDAY, Daddy”
You are 97 today and we know you are celebrating with Jesus today. Since you breathed your last breath February 3, 2026, our hearts are sad because we are going to miss you, but our hearts are also celebrating your eternal life in the Presence of our Lord. Our Daddy loved going to church especially the Tuesday Bible Study. He attended Faith Church.
Our Daddy leaves behind two daughters Teresa Campbell (Gary) and Lisa Angel (Eric); four grandchildren Shaun Campbell (Sarah), Seth Campbell, Tyler Angel (Lindsey), and Carson Threet (Jared). Also, a stepdaughter, Debra Gyure (Mike) and a step-grandson Brian Liles (Shea). He has several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife Janeice (McCafferty) White Newbern, daughter Dale Newbern, brothers Elton Newbern, James Newbern, and sisters Cleta Rickard, Mildred Rikard. His parents were Frank Newbern and Glenn (Tucker) Newbern Lannom.
A funeral for our Daddy was held at Williams Funeral Home in Florence on Thursday morning February 5th with Bro. Henry Melton officiating. Pallbearers were Shaun Campbell, Seth Campbell, Gary Campbell, Josh Casson, Craig Blasingame, Greg Rikard, Eric Angel, and Jared Threet. We would like to express our heart felt appreciation to the following who lovingly cared for our Daddy: Dr. Therese Lango, Dr. Mitcheal Bowen, Dr. Ricky Irons, Dr. Danny McFall, and Southern Care New Beacon Hospice.
