Nellie Mae Patterson, age 92 of Florence, Alabama, passed away on March 6, 2026. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026, from 12:30pm until 2:00pm at Williams Funeral Home, services at 2:00pm in the chapel, with Scott Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow at Belgreen Cemetery in Belgreen, Alabama.
Pallbearers will be David Britton, Bryant Britton, Pete Gallman, Noah Gallman, Danny Holder and Terry Holder.
She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Hattie Swindle. Her husband James “Sam” E. Patterson. Siblings: Rebel Stockton, Eupel Wells, Doyle Swindle, Kathleen Stepp, Odell Swindle and Mary Holder.
Nellie is survived by her Daughter Kathy Britton (Eddie). Two grandchildren, Alison Gallman (Pete) and David Britton (Traci). Four great-grandchildren: Noah Gallman, Kathryn Gallman, Bryant Britton, and Nicole Britton. As well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Nellie is a member of the Central Baptist Church of Florence. She loved Alabama football and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
