Barbara Plummer Johnson, age 71, of Florence, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 22^nd, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at 4:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Brother, Bill Beard officiating.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Powell, Sr. and Justine McArthur Plummer; sons, Norman Anthony “Skip” Johnson, Jr., baby Johnson, and Clinten Wade Johnson.

Survivors are her husband, Norman Anthony Johnson, Sr.; son, David Ellis Johnson (Renee`), Daughters, Stephanie Brooke Robbins, and Summer Dawn Johnson; brothers, James Powell Plummer (Janet) and Donald Wayne Plummer (Rosemary); grandchildren, Delilah Mae Robbins and Kylar Skip Johnson.

Barbara enjoyed piano accompanist musical theater, directing church choir at campground United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, North Carolina and reading. She also enjoyed water skiing until she was 69 and spending time on the water, traveling, planting flowers, going to the movies, puzzles, and solving her daily crossword puzzle. She was an active member of Cannan Methodist Church.
