Cathy Poarch Gandy, age 62, of Florence, was called home to be with the Lord on February 8, 2021. Cathy was a caring and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 13, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Community Freewill Baptist Church of Florence,
She will be laid to rest with her father, Marion Poarch; mother, Dimple Vickery; step-father, Thomas “Ed” Vickery; sister, Rita Crowson; grandparents; and many aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her children, Stephen Gandy (Latasha), Christy Koger; Josh Gandy (Lacey), and Jamie Key (Sabr); 10 wonderful grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 5 brothers; 2 sisters; nieces, nephews and many friends.
Cathy enjoyed working puzzles, working in her flower garden, and loved doing ceramics with her mother before she passed away. She adored her pet, “Pepper”.
