Joyce Sylvia Mamwell Flynn, age 92, of Florence, passed away January 1, 2023.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 19, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Stony Point Church of Christ.  A celebration of her life will follow at 12:00 noon with Brad Adcock, Dorian Flynn and Claude Flynn officiating.

Mrs. Flynn was preceded in death by her parents and ten siblings.

She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Norman Flynn; children, Dorian Flynn (Cheri) and Glenis Scogin; sister, Selena DuToit; grandchildren, Laura Tapia (Andres), Lee Flynn (Bridgett), and Landon Flynn (Roxanne); great-grandchildren, Trystan Tapia, Dakota Tapia, Boston Flynn, and Weslie Flynn; and many special nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Flynn was a ladies’ bible class teacher for over 50 years and was also a World Bible School teacher.  She taught scripture classes in public schools in Rhodesia and helped with Christian Camp every year.
