Wanda Ruth Perkins, age 80, of Florence, passed away March 3, 2023.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 5, at Hendrix Chapel Church of Christ from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.  The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church, with Wayne Wood officiating.  She will be laid to rest at Pisgah Cemetery.

Mrs. Perkins was preceded in death by her parents, J.B. and Ruth Rowland; husband, Jesse Perkins, Jr., and son-in-law, Ronnie Staggs.

Survivors include her children, Wes Perkins (Samantha), Donna Staggs, David Taylor (Tina) and Norman Head (Sharon); grandchildren, Ayden, Max, Levi and Mason Perkins, April Walker, Jennifer Staggs, Amy Keeton, Timothy, Tiffany and Tabitha Taylor, and Christopher and Anber Walker.

Mrs. Perkins was a member of Cloverdale Methodist Church.  She loved Alabama football and Braves baseball, but the most joyful times in her life were those spent with her children and especially her grandchildren.
