Ruby Hodges Gooch, 92, of Florence, Alabama, passed away April 25, 2023. Visitation will be Friday, April 28, from 11:00 – 1:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Tri-Cities
Memorial Gardens with Brother Henry Melton officiating.

She is preceded in death by her husband of seventy-two years, James Gooch; parents, John Hodges and Mary Lou Moss Hodges; and grandson, Joey Hopper. Also preceding are her brothers, Chester Hodges, Charles Hodges, Albert Hodges and Kenneth Hodges; sisters, Joyce Lovelace and Hazel Glover.

Mrs. Gooch is survived by her daughters, Sheila Hopper (Lamar Cook), and Debbie Peck (Tris Peck); sisters, Sue Hammock, Dorothy Bretherick, and Patti Morris; grandchildren, Mitch Hopper (Mandy), Zach Peck
(Sydney), and Hannah Smithey (Josh). Additional survivors include her great-grandchildren, Levi Hopper, Lance Hopper, Gunner Hopper, Hudson Smithey, Saylor Smithey, and Eastyn Peck; and one great-great-granddaughter, Jacie Hopper.

She was a member of Faith Church.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mitch Hopper, Levi Hopper, LanceHopper, Zach Peck, Josh Smithey, and Rocky Beck.
