Ernest Calvin Williams, age 80, of Waterloo, passed away September 1, 2024.  Services and visitation were held privately.  Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was preceded by his father, Fredrick Williams; mother, Jewell Lafortune; daughter, Michelle Marshall; brothers, Floyed Williams and Bill Williams.

Ernest is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda Gail Williams;  children, Marsha Watkins (Shawn), Mary Thomson (Michael), Crystal Cates (Kevin), and Bobby Williams (Lydia). Additional survivors include grandchildren, Maria Vargas (Lupe), Judith Langford (Brian), Lesli Harvey, Esther Watkins, Robyn Sharp, Autumn Sharp, Timothy Sharp, Jessica Burleson, Brooklyn Burleson, Bailey Cates, Halie Williams, Mason Williams, Liberty Williams, and Luke, Nick, Mathew, Hayden and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Kedron, Krystol, AdaMae, Lee, Felicity, Beckett, Madeline, Taeveon, and Zayden.

Ernest enjoyed attending auctions and flea markets.  He loved studying his bible, marking highlights and very much enjoyed the the Word of God.

Hebrews 11:13. These all died in faith not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
