Betty Jean Fowler Montgomery, 82, of Florence, passed away May 3, 2025. Visitation will be Friday, May 9 at Williams Funeral Home from 10:30 am until 11:30 am. The service will follow at 11:30 am in the chapel. The burial will be at Mt. Pleasant – Cypress Inn, Tennessee. Pallbearers include Brody Bevis, Anthony Hendrix, Robert Hendrix, Gaylon Lovelace, Tim Rickard, and Ricky Brewer. Honorary pallbearers include Levi Bevis, Chris Colonna, and Dan Richardson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Marie Fowler; brother, Edward Fowler; husband, Fred Montgomery; and son, Tommy Montgomery.

She is survived by her daughter, Freda Montgomery Bevis; sister, Doris Fowler Hendrix; grandchildren, Levi Bevis (Chris) and Brody Bevis (Allison), nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mrs. Montgomery grew up in Salem Methodist Church and later became a dedicated member of Cloverdale Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who absolutely loved her family and friends. She especially enjoyed her last year with her friends at Columbia Cottage.
