France W. Burgess, 103, of Florence, Alabama died Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Mitchell-Hollingsworth Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Florence, Al
She was born, December 23, 1916 in Minor Hill, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Noble Williams and the late Virgie Wray Williams. Mrs. Burgess was a retired employee of the City of Florence Utility District and a member of Northwood United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband (R.C.) Burgess, one sister, Irener Goode and two brothers, Harry J. “Junior” Williams and Paul Williams.
Visitation for Mrs. Burgess will be held at Tuesday, from 12:00 p.m. till 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Spry- Williams Funeral Home with service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Officiating the service will be Rev. Dallas Culver. Interment will follow in Tri-City Memorial Gardens in Florence, Al.
She is survived by her son, Jimmy P. Burgess of Florence, Alabama.
