Chris was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, grandson, and stepson. He never met a stranger and always helped others facing challenges in their lives. He would give the shirt off his own back to help another person.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Carlos Bordayo, Sr, and Ramiro and Dolores Loredo, Geronimo Luis, and Clarence Michael.

Christopher is survived by his 5 children, Christopher, Annalia, Dominic, Tony, and Noah; sister Anna Carpenter (Kevin), brother Ramon Flores (Christina), sisters Natasha Torres (Rick), Charissa Garza, Katrina Reynolds, Ashley Reeder (Adam), Kyra Langlois (Lance), Madolyn Jackson (Ronald) and Alex Garza; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Chris enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and loved grilling and cooking for large get-togethers on a regular basis. 1. He was a strong guy loving and sweet person I was glad he was part of our family. My dad Jimmy loved him very much. He was like a son to him. I’m sure he is up in heaven sitting and talking with my dad now like always when he was here. RIP

  2. Chris was a father, brother, leader, and most of all a great friend. While serving in the military with Chris I had the opportunity to work with Chris and learn valuable life lessons and create a lasting bond, never the less Chris was always around even if you needed someone to talk to.

IYAOYAS for ever brother I’ll see you again.

  5. Luis my brother I can’t believe that you are gone. You are one great guy I enjoyed each and every second that I got to spend with you while we served together in the navy. I know for a fact you was one special guy always loving always caring and always helping. We had long talks about life and our family you love them babies with everything in you. A great father you was even at a young age. Man I could just keep talking about you with nothing but good words to say. Bro I love you and I’ll surly never forget you. RIP my brother IYAOYAS

  6. When I think of Chris, I see his big smile and wanting to include others in what he was doing. I remember Chris as a six year old, playing Trivia Pursuit with of adults, and doing a pretty good job of holding his own. He did a very good job helping his mom and I decorate Christmas cookies. A little older Chris loved playing Pac Man, and Mario Brothers with his sister, Charissa. The first time I visited Florence, Chris and his family took to the river to go fishing. Chris liked to fish, where his sisters just wanted to play in the stream running next to the river. In his teen years, when I came to visit, Chris would go sleep at one of his buddies house, so that I would have a place to sleep. As an adult Chris would often included others in his plans, be it a cookout, or weekend vacation. Chris loved to cook, I think it was his passion. I sorry that I will not be able to see your great smile, or hear you call me, Miss Sherry, or Aunt Sherry again. Love you

  7. I dd not know Luis but I want to offer my condolences to his family. He seemed like such a wonderful man. God bless you all

  8. I had the chance to meet Chris when I deployed to Kuwait with him in 2010. We were roommates, friends, and eventually I called him my brother.

He was always the hardest worker around and had a positivety that brought a smile to others. He will be deeply missed.

    RIH brother…until Valhalla

  9. I’m pretty late on this, but unfortunately I just found out about the loss of Chris. I just wanted to share my memory of him. October of last year I drove from South Carolina to Alabama to pick up Chris and bring him back to give him a chance at a new way of life. The man I met and got to know is one I will remember forever. Nothing but love and respect for he stern but loving way. The things he went through and what he overcame are triumphs for history. Rest In Peace my brother, till we meet again.
