Peggy Joyce Moore, age 68, of Russellville, passed away October 25, 2018. A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 28, at 1:00 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home in Florence.
Peggy was a very creative person. She loved sewing, and especially enjoyed making purses. She also loved to fish.
Survivors include her son, Steven Moore (Denise); companion, Melvin Barnett; grandson, Brian Black (Leah); and siblings, Helen Burney, Carolyn Ary (John), Oral Pigg (Rebecca) and Waylon Pigg (Shelby).

Peggy was such a sweet fun person. I had the privilege to go on some trips with her to two of her favorite fishing places, The Lily Pad & The Turtle Trap . We had the best time sitting & talking & eating after fishing. She could sew anything. I’ve got several things she made for me & they all look store bought. She was a good person & she’s going to be missed terribly. My thoughts & prayers go out to all of her family. RIP sweet Peggy.
My Aunt Peggy loved to cut up and have fun. I always loved her and my mom telling stories together about thier childhood and growing up together, which usually ended in laughter. She was always supportive of me and showered me with compliments. We both loved watching the show Survivor and she even got me to watch one of her favorite shows Big Brother. She was truly one of a kind and I will miss her greatly. As soon as I can…. I’m going fishing and hopefully I will catch a “good one” in her honor because she also loved to fish.
