Verna Ruth Lard, age 93, of Florence, passed away December 6, 2018.  Visitation will be Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home.  The funeral will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Wayne Wood and David Rushlow officiating.  Burial will be at Killen Cemetery.

Mrs. Lard was preceded in death by her children:  Roy Eugene Lard, Donna Morgan, Janice  Mize, John Lard, Jr. and Linda Gayle Pigg.

Survivors include her children: Jerry Lard (Midge), Patricia Selby (Roland), Charlotte Evon Hines, Paul Dennis Lard, Jackie Senn, Cheryl Young (Jim), Regina Torres and Bonnie Green (Barney); sister, Catherine Hearn; and numerous loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Lard was of the Baptist Faith.  She devoted her life to her family and will be greatly missed.
