Roy Dale Montgomery, age 52, of Florence, passed away October 16, 2018. Visitation will be Saturday, October 20, from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. The funeral will follow in the funeral home chapel, with Brothers Dennis Hanvey and Ronnie McKissack officiating. Burial will be at Railroad Cemetery, Iron City.
Roy had been a truck driver all of his life. He was a friend to anyone he met, loving to laugh and joke with friends. He loved riding his Harley-Davidson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Montgomery. Survivors include his mother, Hazel O’Bryant (Tommy); grandson, Lane Montgomery; and siblings, Joy Gail Montgomery Fowler (his twin sister), Michael Gerald Montgomery (Janice), Debra Montgomery Smith (Ellis), Randy O’Bryant and Sherri Chapman (Bill).
Pallbearers will be Michael Fowler, Shane Fowler, Zach Fowler, Ellis Smith, Dexter Ingram and Daniel Parker.
