Mary “Christine “ Clayton Staggs, age 69, of Leighton, passed away May 22, 2019. Visitation will be Friday, May 24, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home in Florence. The funeral will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Town Creek.
Preceding her in death are her parents Olen & Aizen Clayton, and sister, Judy Thompson.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Lloyd Staggs Sr.; sons, Lloyd Staggs Jr. (Sandy), Wayne Staggs (Ilah), and Chris Staggs (Karmen); special daughter, Michelle McGuire (Jeff); grandchildren, Jordan, Jerrod, Caitlin, Maiken and Hunter Staggs, Kolton Brown, Kylie Fountain and Wesley Isbell; and great-grandchildren, Jaxton, Knoxton and Raleigh Staggs.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kruzn for a Kure Foundation at First Metro Bank.

Lloyd and family I am so sorry for your loss. Christine was Beautiful inside and out. I have many wonderful memories of our earlier years as well as the last few years. I learned so much from this Wonderful classy Lady. To know Christine was to Love her and if you did not have the chance to know her you definitely missed out on a Beautiful & Wonderful friend. Christine loved everyone especially her family. I Loved to hear about the precious Grandchildren. Christine you are truly Loved and will be MISSED dearly. God please be with this Wonderful family during this very difficult time.
