William Albert “Bill”  Hynson, age 84, of Florence, passed away September 17, 2019.  A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 22, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home.  A graveside burial service, with military honors,  will be held on Monday, September 23, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Florence City Cemetery.

Mr. Hynson was a veteran of the US Marine Corp, having served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars

He was preceded in death by his son, William Albert “Billy” Hynson, III;  brother, Ronnie Hynson; and parents.

Survivors include his children, Mechelle Thompson (James), Melissa Hynson, Margaret Houston (Cecil) and Jamal Hynson; grandchildren: Kamina Newsome, Stephen Young, Kenneth Young, Jacoba Thompson, Jedesah Beckwith, Mariah Houston,  Analyse Houston, Taylor Hynson; great-grandchildren: Walter Riley and Emerson Ledwell; and sister, Cyndi Hynson.
