Roy Kenneth Davis, age 84, of Florence, passed away peacefully at home on March 10, 2020. A celebration of his life has been postponed until a later date.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Rollie and Olive Davis. He is survived by his loving wife, Jan Davis; children, James Davis and wife, Tiffany, and Jonathan Davis and wife, Talissa; grandchildren, Mazie Davis, Samara Davis and Daniel Edwards; brother, Charles Davis; sister, Pat Schaeffer and husband, Ron; and several loving nieces and nephews.
Roy was an active member of Woodmont Baptist and, in a Christian spirit, would help anyone who needed his assistance. He loved to hunt and fish, and loved people. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was totally dedicated to his family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to NAMI of the Shoals, 749 Thompson St, Florence, AL 35630. The family would like to express their appreciation to New Beacon (formerly Southern Care) Hospice and to Roy’s Woodmont Baptist family for their loving support during his illness.

Roy was a good man ,with a great sense of humor. He went out of his way to help me , and my family ,when times got rough. I’ll never forget this honest ,and kind gentleman.
