May 7, 1958 - April 5, 2020

Gary Michael Breen, age 61, of Florence, entered into his heavenly reward on April 5, 2020.  Burial services will be private, with a celebration of his life to be held at a later date.

Gary was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Breen.  Survivors include his loving wife of 29 years, Karen Breen; mother, Ruth Breen of Leesburg, FL; children, Miranda Kershaw (Matthew) and Skyler Osborne (Sami Mainiero); grandchildren Juliett Smith, Jaelah Smith and Jacob Smith; and brothers, Craig Breen (Joanne) and Mark Breen (Vikki).

Gary was an active member of Florence Baptist Church.  He was a tool and die maker by trade.  He loved motorcycles, guns, trains and life in general.  He was a joyful man who was loved by everyone who knew him

  Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.  Job 13:15

  1. I will miss him dearly. He always made me smile, and laugh. Uncle Gary was the light in a dreary world. I have no doubt in my mind he is up in heaven with his dad watching over their family. I am so glad and honored that he did a reading at my wedding. I love you uncle Gary.

  2. I am very sad today to find out that my best friend from 1st grade through high school is now gone. Rest in Peace Gary!

  5. I am glad to have known Gary Breen. He was a man of integrity and faith. I loved hearing his testimony, and I know he is enjoying being in the presence of the Lord. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

  8. We were so sorry to hear the news about Gary’s passing, but grateful he is now enjoying the splendors of heaven with our Savior! Karen, know that we have such great memories of both of you and the kids when you were here in Wisc! We love you.

  9. Gary taught me to have fun in life. We were good friends in high school. I thoroughly loved seeing the many cars and motorcycles he owned through high school and after. Until we meet again, Rest In Peace my friend

  12. I was Sad to hear of Gary’s passing. We grew up in a great neighborhood and Gary was big part of my childhood memories. A lot of good times between the Henningsen’s and Breens. I pray for you all at this time of sorrow and celebrate my memories of Gary , Mark and Craig knowing that a God blessed us all with Gary’s life. God Bless. Michael. Henningsen.
