Linda Ruth Bulger
October 23, 1944 - October 6, 2020
Linda Ruth Bulger Cornatzer, 75, of Florence danced into Heaven Tuesday morning, October 6, 2020 after a 9-year illness. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 14, 2020, between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at Woodmont Baptist Church in the chapel. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Chad Hess officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Linda knew the Lord was walking lovingly beside her in even the hardest of times. She was a longtime member of Woodmont Baptist Church. Linda fostered many wonderful friendships during her time working at International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC) and Tennessee Valley Cardiovascular Center.
Linda’s favorite title was “Gran.” Linda cared deeply for her family and her pets, especially her Sheltie, Elly, who is sure to have welcomed her at the Rainbow Bridge. Linda enjoyed taking care of the creatures residing in her backyard. At Christmastime (and whenever requested), she was armed with boxes full of her famous “little white cookies.”
Linda is survived by her daughter Teresa Lentz (Brannon), son Richard Cornatzer (Stephanie), grandchildren Caroline Lentz, Hunter Cornatzer, and Rose Emmons, two great-grandchildren, sisters Pat Waddell (Larry) and Sandra Wade, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Virlyn and Ruth Bulger, her brother Donnie Bulger, her brother-in-law Don Wade, and her baby girl Jerry Suzanne.
The family wishes to thank Drs. Robert Mann, Robert Bailey, and Therese Lango as well as special friends Julee Hooper and Jane Goss, whose true friendships were a light in Linda’s life.
Pallbearers are Chris Burbank, Hunter Cornatzer, Richard Cornatzer, Brannon Lentz, Jim Waddell, and Michael Wade.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the pet rescue, Heart of Alabama Safe, Rescue, Adopt (www.hasra.org).
