  2. We are deeply sorry to hear about Ms Slagle passing away. We too have lost loved ones in death and it’s heartbreaking losing those whom we love. We hope the family can find comfort in the Bible’s promise at Revelation 21:4 where Jehovah God assures us that one day, death will be no more. May He grant the family peace and strength during this most difficult time.

  3. I always thought that Ms. Sally was such a beautiful woman, I started taking piano lessons from her at nine years old. She taught me many songs.
I loved her dearly. I will never forget the gift of piano playing that she shared with me. God bless all of her family during this hard time. My prayers and thoughts are with all of you.

  4. I was so sorry to hear of Sally’s passing. She was such a good friend to me when I lived in Florence. I felt like her family was my family. She was just like that. So giving and loving and fun loving too. I will never forget her and her kids. I pray for her family.

  5. Sally and I became friends in 1975. We worked together at Colonial Manor during the three years that I lived in Florence.
She was a funny and loving friend. So sorry to hear of her passing. My thoughts and love are with her family.

  6. Sally and I were co-workers at Florence Surgical Associates. She was Dr. Rowan’s nurse, and I was his medical transcriber. There could not have been a more caring nurse nor a sweeter person than Sally. I appreciated her coming to my Bible class at Florence Nursing Home. Years ago, she told me that when she passed away, she wanted them to play the theme from “Bonanza” at her funeral service. She really meant it! That was just Sally. I found out that she passed during a prayer that James Harris was saying at Magnolia Gardens II during our Bible class. He asked the Lord to bless the Slagle family, and that was a shock to me. This world would be a much better place if everyone cared for others like Sally did. God bless all of you with warm memories of her.

  7. Dearest Sally, I just found out, today, that you went away, my sweet sweet friend. My heart is aching, and my tears won’t slow down, as I remember chatting with you, just a few weeks ago at the restaurant in Petersville, and exchanging phone numbers. We had lost each other through the years, and what “joy” we had that day for a few moments, in time, to laugh and speak of our work days, together, in the respiratory department, at Colonial Manor Hospital. You were ‘always special,’ my sweet friend…your heart was like no other I have ever known. As tears fall, I feel so honored and privileged to have known you, in life.
Your friendship was a “gift” to me, and you made this world a more lovely and beautiful place by your smile, your compassion and your love for those all those around you, but especially your patients, your family, and your friends. You loved with (ALL OF YOUR HEART)…everyday, always & completely, and with that heart you healed “so many people,” by lifting them up in so many special ways! You blessed their lives and you genuinely cared deeply for so many patients, and the people you didn’t know but came to know through your work, also for your family, and numerous friends. You just had a (special way of loving them) and expressing that to them. Your love somehow always seemed to give us all, “(warmth and joy).” That’s what you instilled and gave to the people in this old world, my sweet friend… “(Healing HOPE, and LOVE).”
I guess God needed your help, because
you’ve ‘gone home, now.’ I’ll be lost without you. We ‘ALL’ will be lost without you, Sally. But, as you receive your wings, I know you will work up there, and be happy, in service to the Lord, my dear sister and friend. Thank you for lifting me, always, and for caring about me, and for teaching me many positive things about life, people, and learning to become a better ‘human being,’ like you!
I will miss your dear heart, your friendship, your love, and your compassion for life.
I hope to see you, ‘on the other side of the river, some sweet day, dear Sally.’
I will carry you in my heart, and I will always be grateful to know you were my friend. Thanks for who you were, and the all the blessings you bestowed into so many lives. I will miss you, dear sweet friend. I will keep your precious family in my sincere and loving prayers, ok. I know their hearts are hurting and missing you, too. With Love and tears, your old friend,
    SherryBarnettButler
