Robert Sterling Sledge II, age 46, of Florence, passed away November 3, 2023. Visitation will be Friday, November 10 from 11:00 – 1:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home. The service will start at 1:00 pm in the chapel with Donnie Sledge officiating and burial will follow in Railroad Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Sterling Sledge I; grandparents, Gene and Christine Sledge; and special friend, Jerry Swinea.

Robert is survived by his wife, Natalie King; mother, Debra Thompson; children, Sterling and Grant Sledge. Additional survivors include sisters, Renee Lewis and Brandy Bevis; nephews, Matt Peffer, Jake Taylor, Zane Bevis; niece, Madison Taylor and Zoey Bevis; great nephew, Presley Peffer; great niece, Hadley Peffer; and special friend Jared Swinea.

Robert enjoyed buying, selling, and trading vintage signs, and hunting, but his heartbeat was his love for his boys.

Serving as pallbearers are Matt Peffer, Jake Taylor, Jared Swinea, Eric Scott, Troy Ward, Ronnie Ritchie, Andy Taylor, Zane Bevis and Wayne Dean. Honorary pallbearers are Terry Lewis, David Bevis and Rod Peden.

The family would like to thank Wanda Robison for a lifetime of love a support.

  1. Robert was a hard working man for his Family. We didn’t see eye to eye sometimes but he treated my daughter and his boys like jewels. Prayers for the Family.

  2. Debra, Renee, and Brandy, There are no words to tell you how sad I am about you losing Robert. We are going out of town Thursday or I would be there. I love you all. Praying for you. 🙏💙

  4. I’m so sorry for your loss I remember Bobby would come over to hang with Brian and me and my friends go to get in my car to cruise there was always Bobby and Brian in my back seat we want to go with yall and of course I would let them. I know he’s going to be missed by all.
