Mary Lois McGee Horton, age 93, of Florence, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2023.

Visitation will be Monday, June 5th from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church of Lexington. The service will follow at 2:00 pm at the church with Martin Cox officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.

She was a member of Highland Baptist Church having grown up and a charter member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church of Lexington. Lois was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Velma and Willie East; husbands, Bernon McGee,

Kenneth Rutherford, and Howard Horton; sisters, Arvella Harris, Christine Joiner, Earlene

Thigpen, and Nina McGee; brothers, Thurston East and David East.

Survivors are her daughter, Lynn Williams; son, Gary McGee (Beverly); sister, Youvone Haddock; grandchildren, Jason McGee (Felicia), Bethany Cagle, Cody Lewis; great-grandchildren, Lilly, Chole, and Tessa Gee, Jeremiah and Kayley Cooper.
