Earl “ER” Ray Pruitt, age 90, of Florence, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024. Visitation will be Sunday, January 21st from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will be on Monday, January 22nd at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel with Brother Greg Reynolds and Brother Craig Mason officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin, Dustin and Bradly Mason, Matthew and Denio Pruitt, and Caleb Henry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Aldern and Ima Pruitt; wife, Faye Pruitt; son, Myron Pruitt; sisters, Irene Grimes, Lucille Carpenter, and Bootsie Lawson; brother, Roy Pruitt, Wayne Pruitt, and Orbia Pruitt.

Survivors are his children, Ray Pruitt (Bonnie), Lance Pruitt (Elieth), Barry Pruitt, Chris Pruitt (Kay), and Emily Mason (Craig); brother, Tommy Pruitt (Helen); sister, Barbara Keeton; grandchildren, Justin, Dustin, and Bradly Mason, Matthew, Elizabeth, and Denio Pruitt, Melanie Henry, and Alexandria Pruitt; 8 great-grandchildren.

ER was a member of Mt. Tabor Church and was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Korean War. He retired with Reynolds as a Crane Operator for over 32 years.

He was a great friend 2 our family when our Dad was shot and killed Mr. ER was there from day one till we walked out of the court house and the days 2 came my mom always said one True friend We loved this man so very much will pray for this sweet family Today and the days 2 come. We love all of u.
