Phillip Wayne Gruber, age 59, of Florence, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael J. and Jean H. Gruber.
Survivors are his brothers, Tim Gruber (April) and Steve Gruber (Camille); love of his life and soulmate, Cindy Downey; nieces, Erin, Caroline and Emily; nephew, Clay.
Phillip was a member of the Insulator’s local #78 of Birmingham. He enjoyed hunting, racing, Alabama football, and most important he loved working as a union insulator. No service is scheduled at this time. Williams Funeral Home of Florence assisting the family.

My heart is breaking. Phillip was a wonderful human. I remember him making cookies with me and JT for Valentine’s Day and taking us to the races. Prayers for his family
I’m so sorry I just came across and found this out We used be together for long time and He was good boyfriend to me and loved me and my two kids..He will be missed! Prayers going high for family. So sorry! My heart is broken hearing this need. 😭💔
