In Loving Memory of Karen Sue Haddock
January 29, 1960 – June 9, 2025
Karen Sue Haddock, age 65, of Florence, passed away on June 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 29, 1960, in Florence, Alabama, Karen was a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and loyal friend. Karen lived a life marked by kindness, compassion, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. She was especially dedicated to her granddaughter, Neriah, who was the light of her life. Karen’s kitchen was often filled with comforting aromas of home-cooked meals made for her family. She found peace on the water, often spending time boating and relaxing with her son, Josh. A gentle soul with a heart for animals, Karen adored her “babies” her beloved pets and showed tenderness to both people and animals alike. She had a generous spirit and was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. One thing anyone who knew Karen could tell you: she was a strong woman, dedicated to her work, and no matter how tough her day was, she always greeted everyone with a smile.
Karen was preceded in death by her mother, Vera Dale Haddock. She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory: her father, Nathan Haddock; her son, Joshua Wisdom of St. Louis; her daughter, Sara Wisdom of Alaska; her cherished granddaughter, Neriah Wisdom; her sisters, Patricia (Tim) Phillips, Belinda (Terry) Hamm, and Kimberly White; her brother, Greg (Cyndee) Haddock; and many nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her dearly.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 14 at Williams Funeral Home in Florence from 11:00-12:30 pm with a graveside service following at 2:00 pm in Central Community Cemetery.
Karen’s warmth, laughter, strength, and boundless love will be missed beyond measure, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
