William Howard “Bill” Hollman, born January 21, 1951, in Loretto, Tennessee, passed away January 20, 2025, at the Glenwood Rehabilitation Center in Florence. Beloved by all who knew him, he was preceded in death by parents Eddie and Christine Hollman of Loretto, TN, and his brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Jo Hollman of Jackson, MS.
Survivors include: nephews and nieces Hal (and Geri) Hollman of Pensacola, FL; Glenn Hollman of Pensacola, FL; Holly Hollman (and Jay Smith) of Falls Church, VA; Jodi (and Mike) Jackson of Birmingham, Alabama; great nieces/nephews Jake, Garrett and Claudia Belle of Birmingham, AL; Hollman and Jameson Smith of Falls Church, VA; Hali and Jillian Hollman of Brandon, MS; and many friends in his community.
Bill was an enthusiastic conversationalist who loved country music and sports. He befriended a few well-known country singers and radio personalities over the years with his positive energy and charm. He was a huge UNA football fan and went to many games with his good friend Byron. Bill was an active member of Woodlawn Church of Christ. He loved his Minister Matt Heupel and the members of the congregation who prayed and worshipped with him and generously helped him manage difficulties over the last twenty years. The church helped him weather many challenges, including significant health battles and moves, all while respecting his independence.
Bill was known for his sweet smile, wonderful attitude, spirit of determination, and ability to overcome obstacles. He was a devoted Christian, and we rejoice knowing he has a restored healthy body in heaven and is reunited with loved ones.
A service in his honor will be held at Woodlawn Church of Christ at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, following visitation at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Shiloh Cemetery.
