Eva "Josie" Josephine
Holden

November 1, 2007 - October 18, 2025

Eva “Josie” Josephine Holden age 17 years, 352 days of Florence, passed away on October 18, 2025. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 1:00pm until 3:00pm. This will be visitation only.  No service is planned.

She was preceded in death by a special Aunt Christie and her Great Grandfather William Butler.

Josie is survived by her father, Willam Daniel Holden (Mary) and her mother Sara Ellen Snodgrass.  Paternal grandparents: Angela Wallace and William Holden, and great grandmother Margaret Butler. Maternal grandparents: Michael and Clara Snodgrass. Siblings: Taylor Jade Barkley, Bella Elise Fritzie, Sophie Pearl Snodgrass (Tubyus Shelby), Knox Maroney and niece Zaynah Shelby.  Numerous loving uncles, aunts and cousins and many, many special friends.

Josie was a sweet loving person with a big heart and beauty that reached her soul. She passed through our lives like a comet passing across the night sky, brilliant then gone. She was small in stature but bold in her nature.  Her absence will leave a giant void in the hearts of all her family and friends who shared this life and love with her.

We mourn all the adventures that she had yet to complete, and dreams left unfulfilled. Her memory will remain forever in the hearts of her family and friends.

Josie was a senior that attended Florence High School and recently transitioned to on-line learning with the goal of completing her high school degree.

  2. Fond memories of young Josie, playing baseball in Huntsville, visiting us to Ohio and Schoolhouse Holler. You had your whole future in front of you, then you didn’t. Condolences to the Snodgrass/Beckham family.
