Geraldine “Gerry” Whitten Grisham Billingsley, age 90, of Florence passed away on December 26, 2025. Visitation will be held on January 2, 2026, from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm, with a Celebration of Life at 1:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home of Florence with Pastor Brandon Starnes officiating. Private Burial will be at Mimosa Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN. She was born on October 21,1935, in Lawrenceburg, TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents W.E. Whitten and Leola Trapp Whitten. Her first husband, James R. Grisham, second husband, Ray C. Billingsley, her son, James R. “Toby” Grisham, Jr., and daughter, Janice R. Grisham.

Gerry is survived by her children: Michael D. Grisham (Karen), Jeffrey D. Billingsley (April), Ray Clifton Billingsley Jr. (Caitlin), Pamela R. Billingsley, and Deana M. Grisham Wade. Grandchildren: Lori Grisham Bethea (Britt), Dustin Wade (Elizabeth), Mollie Wade Bradley (Mason), Lorelai Wade, Bailey, Jackson and Brooks Billingsley, Mason Coburn, Kate and Grant Billingsley, Aliyah and Charlie Carroll. Great Grandchildren: Maddox, Briley and Toby Bethea, Bo and Monroe Ellis, Maven Bradley, and Liz-Anne Wade. One sister Marie Lindsey.

Gerrry adored her children and grandchildren. Gerry loved her friends and neighbors as family. She enjoyed and loved entertaining. She worked at Riverhill School. She was an avid golfer, loved to travel and a very elegant and gracious lady.

Memorials may be made to Riverhill School, St. James United Methodist Church or charity of choice.

  1. To the children and grandchildren. Im Praying for comfort, peace and healing in one of the hardest losses. May the warmth and memories of your Mom ( Grandmom) keep you in the days ahead. She seems to have been very wise and loving. What a blessing…
