Carolyn Ann Clemmons Fago

1940-1925

On August 31^st, 2025, Ann Fago departed this life. Her passing was very peaceful, in her home, with her daughter by her side. She was dearly loved and will be very missed.

She was born in Lauderdale County, Alabama and lived in Florence for most of her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years J. J. Fago, her parents Annie and Newt Clemmons, sister Marguerite Craft, and many dear friends and relatives.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Bridget and Jake Berry of Florence, sister-in-law Mary Frances Grigsby of Florence, nieces Deborah Givens of Kimberly, AL, Mary Mike Sullivan of Tuscaloosa, AL and nephew, Eric Craft of Birmingham, AL. and several great nieces and nephews.

Ann was a 1958 graduate of Rogers High School and attended Florence State University.

She was a member of North Wood Methodist Church and had more recently attended Trinity Episcopal Church.

Ann was primarily a homemaker. She was an avid gardener, a voracious reader and had a great love of antiques and interior decorating. She was a wonderful cook. Her many hobbies over the years included painting, sewing and needlework.

The family would like to extend sincere thanks to the doctors and staff of NAMC ED, NAMC CCU, and the 5400 unit at NAMC for their excellent care.

Thanks also to the caregivers and staff at Visting Angels and Eldercare for their kindness and companionship, with special thanks to caregiver Charlena of Eldercare.

The funeral service for Ann will be Friday, September 5^th at Trinity Episcopal Church, Florence. Visitation will be at 1:00 PM followed by the funeral at 2:00 PM.

Burial will follow in Florence City Cemetery. Williams Funeral Home of Florence directing.
