Marshall Wayne Skipworth, age 74, of Florence, Alabama, passed away on June 27, 2026, Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 11:30 A.M. until 1:30 P.M. at Salem Church of Christ. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Mt Zion Church of Christ Cemetery with Barry Sellers officiating. Williams Funeral home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Chris Jones, Greg Rhodes, Brett Sellers, Jason Skipworth, Daniel Price, and Brian Shook.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jimmie and Nancy Skipworth. His brother Jerry Skipworth. His sister Vickie Davis. Infant daughter Katrina. Two In-Laws, Allen and Eurma Thompson.
Marshall is survived by his wife of 54 years, Fredia Skipworth. His children: Sharhonda Skipworth, Natasha Murphy (Jeremy), Bradley Skipworth (Amanda), Alicia Elliot (Jason), and Whitney Skipworth (Stacy). One brother Jesse Skipworth (Dena). Nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Marshall dedicated his life to his family, friends, community, and he was a member of Salem Church of Christ. He retired from E.S. Robbins with 30 plus years. He loved Alabama Football and Atlanta Braves. He loved playing music and was part of several bands over the years, but he enjoyed playing with his sons and friends the most.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Grandview Medical and Affinity Hospice for the love and care provided. Special thanks to Stacy Skipworth and Belle Murphy.

Marshall was a good friend in our teens and he was fine person. He sure could play baseball good also.
Oh Fredia, Brandon text me and told me about Marshall, I am so sorry , my heart breaks for you and your family ,, Brandon had told me a couple weeks ago that Marshall wasn’t doing good,, I didn’t know he had been sick,, Marshall was a great man , I loved all the times we spent at them ballfields.. great memories, if anyone loved baseball Marshall sure did and he was a mentor to ❤️❤️those kids .. once again I’m so sorry ,, I want get to come to the service I will be out of town.
