Argel Earl Golden, 85, of Florence, passed away July 18, 2026. Visitation will be Friday-July 24 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home. The funeral will start at 1:00 pm in the chapel with Brother Tim Wooten officiating and burial immediately following in Pisgah Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Timmy Kitchen, Dustin Golden, Anthony Golden, Ashton Woods, Preston Woods, and Russell Woods.

He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Katylnn Clemmons; and brother, Lamar Golden and Cecil Ray Golden.

Argel is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Clanton Golden; son Tony Golden (wife Chyrl), step-children Rebecca Hubbard-Woods (husband Russell), Brian Hubbard (Melissa), Felisha Hubbard-Puckett (Jonathan); brother, Clifton Golden; sisters, Shirley Peacock and Brenda Henderson (Johnny); nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Argel retired from Tee Jays as head mechanic. He loved gardening, fishing, and spending time outdoors.
