James Edward White, age 82, of Florence, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 23^rd, from 12:00 noon until 1:30 pm at Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at 1:30 pm in the funeral home chapel with Brother George Riddle officiating. Burial will be at Barkley White Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Faulkner, Nathan Faulkner, Brent White, Alex Melton, Benjamin Lawson, and Blake Burden. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Lawson, Joey Daugherty, and John Glaze.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Van C. Sr. and Ruby Mae White; brothers, Van White, Jr., Bobby White, Billy White, Don White, Ronnie White, and Tommy White; sisters, Virginia White, Louise Tuberville, Helen Quinn, Susan White, Joyce Williams, and Martha Riddle; sons-in-law, Bobby Odom and Phillip Puckett; grandson, Joshua Matthew White.

Survivors are his children, Michael White (Sherry), Denise Glaze (John), Bonnie Puckett, Bridgett Lawson (Greg), and Monica Daugherty (Joey); sisters, Doris Holland, Brenda White, and Kathy Tesseneer (Gary); brothers, Gary White (Debbie), Bill White, Carl White (Jenny), Keith White (Sandy), and Tony White; grandchildren, Amanda and Bradley White, Chris and Nathan Faulkner, Brent White, Alex Melton, Emily Burden (Blake), and Benjamin Lawson; great-grandchildren, Mason, Logan, Alexis, Lilly and Brooklyn Faulkner, Rylan White, and Clover White; brother-in-law, George Riddle; numerous nieces and nephews.

Daddy loved the Lord, spending time in his shop doing carpentry work, and loved his family dearly.
