Richard (Ricky) Jeffrey Agee, 65, passed away unexpectedly on Feb 3, 2026 at North Alabama Medical Center. He was born June 6, 1960 in Colbert County, AL.
Ricky graduated from Central High School, class of 1978. Following graduation, he was employed by Norfolk Southern and retired 25 years later.
Shortly after retirement, Ricky’s best friend and mentor, Tim Rhodes, offered him an opportunity to become a partner in investment properties in the Shoals, where he made a name for himself in the community. Ricky loved deeply and his heart was even bigger, always willing to extend a hand when needed.
He is preceded in death by his parents Helen Provencher, Richard and Betty Agee; His brothers Danny Haddock and Thurman Agee; His sister Janice Parrish.
Survived by the love of his life, Cindy Agee, son Matt Agee (Kelly) and daughter Reagan Mason (Cody); His greatest joy was when he heard his name Papa from his grandchildren Avery, Decker and Archie, whom he loved dearly.
Sisters: Deb Rhodes (Steve), Donna Lopez (Luis), Rhonda Posey (Michael), Donna Aycock (Billy), Cathy Thompson (KT), Joni Dobbs (Billy), Angie Haddock (Bobby), Brother Richard Agee Jr (Belinda). Several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Rhodes, Nate Fulmer, Jacob Feltman, Kevin Mitchell, Derek Parrish, Chad Bevis, Nathan Thoms, and Chad Vaden. Honorary pallbearers will be Wade Baker, Paul Parrish, Mark Pruitt, Chuck Vaughan, Steve Rhodes, Wayne Lawson, Danny Thompson and Tim Higgins.
Visitation will be Friday Feb 6, 2026, at Williams Funeral Home from 11:00AM-1:00PM with the memorial service to follow. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Garden.
In-lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children’s Hospital of Alabama, 1600 7th Ave.

It’s hard to believe Ricky is no longer with us. We met 50 years ago when Ricky and Mark were riding the “strip”. I know Cindy and family are grieving and having trouble making sense of Ricky’s passing. I pray God bless them with His peace that passes our understanding. May He comfort them with wonderful memories as they navigate these days ahead without their beloved husband, father, papa and friend.
My condolences go out to Matt, Reagan and Cindy. We had a lot of great times, Ricky will be truly missed.
