Ginger was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished “MawMaw”. Her family was the center of her world. She found great joy in the everyday moments – always wanting to know about her family’s day and what they were doing and being a part of their lives. Nothing meant more to her than having her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren gathered in her home, sharing meals, laughter, and time with one another.

She was married to her beloved husband, James Larry McCreless, Sr., for nearly 60 years. He was a faithful and loving partner who cared for her with unwavering devotion, truly honoring his vows in sickness and in health, especially through her most difficult days.

Ginger had a deep love for church and a strong, steady faith.  She knew her hope was in the Lord and wanted her family to feel that same peace and security.

She is survived by her loving husband, James Larry McCreless, Sr.; her children, Danny Robertson (Teresa) and Terra Smith (Eric); her grandchildren, Michael Sullivan (Erika), James Thomas McCreless (Abby), Taylor Robertson (Kameron), Haley Adams (Kaleb), Kaylynn Smith, and Gaige Smith; and her great-grandchildren, Jacob, Liam, Addie, Annie, Nolan, Brantley, and Maddox.

She was preceded in the death by her parents, Robert Wallace and Leona Blankenship; and by her children Nana Robertson and Jamie McCreless.

Ginger will be remembered for her deep love for her family, her strong faith, and the warmth she brought into every home and heart she touched.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the ICU nurses and staff at Helen Keller Hospital for their compassion, kindness, and exceptional care during her final days.
