Debra  Gabel Balentine, age 65, of Florence, Alabama passed away on May 14, 2026. Services and visitation will be held at Williams Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. till 2:00 P.M. with services at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel with Jim Thacker officiating. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Norman and Mamie Gabel. As well as her brother-in-law, Norm Head.

Debra is survived by two children, Austin Balentine (Kesha Riley) and Alisa Balentine (Michael Dawson). Two sisters, Norma Sandusky (Jeff) and Sharon Head.  Her grandchildren were her favorite two pets in the world, Paco and Blue.  She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Debra enjoyed reading, playing her poker game and taking care of her cat “Kitty”.
