Martha Ann Ballard Greer, age 77, of Florence, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. Visitation will be on Saturday, May 30th from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Michael Dailey and Reverend Travis Dalton officiating. Burial will be at Murphy’s Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Nick Quillen, Kenny Smith, Roy Clymer, Mike Morris, Tim Senn, and Joseph Dailey
She was preceded in death by her dad, Wilson “Candy Man” Ballard; mother, Jewell “Judy” Ballard; husband, Jerry Greer; brother, Amon “Buddy” Ballard; son, Jeff Greer; maternal grandmother, Madgie Henson Reogas Penny; grandfather, maternal grandfather, Frances Joseph “Joe” Reogas; paternal grandfather, Thomas Ballard; aunt, Mary Marks.
Survivors are her daughter, Laryssa Greer Self; grandson, Justin Greer “Emma” and additional grandchildren and great grandchildren; aunts, Josephine Reogas Dailey Tyler; Biddie Smith, Linda Caster and multiple cousins; very dear friend, Julie Bradley.
Martha was a retired secretary with The Heart Health Center of Huntsville, Alabama. She was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of New Life Tabernacle on Ford Road in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.

Martha was my best friend. She always kept me on my toes. She was a caring, giving person. I always admired her willingness to help those in need. She will be greatly missed by me. I will remember you always. Rest in peace my friend. I love you!
