Matthew Shane Whisman, age 42, of Florence, passed away January 10, 2021. A funeral will be Thursday, January 14, at 10:00 a.m. at Williams Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Gravely Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gage, Jesse, Codie and Noah Whisman, Lendert Naude, and Lynn Bass.
Matthew was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arnold and Gary Whisman; uncle, Randy Whisman; and aunt, Lucretia Mitchell.
Survivors include his mother, Lisa Holtkamp; children, Gage Whisman, Jesse Whisman, Cody Whisman, and Noah Whisman; brother, Todd Holtkamp; and his little puppy, “Molly”.
Matthew was a mechanic by trade. He was a great father who had a heart of gold. He would help anyone he could.
