Joseph E. Vogelberger, age 57, of Florence, passed away March 24, 2021.  No services are planned at this time.

Mr. Vogelberger was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Linda Vogelberger.  Survivors include his loving wife of 22 years, Audrey Beauleau Vogelberger; children, Linda Vogelberger, and Richard, Timmy, and Stevie Lynn Pickle; four grandchildren; and sister, Karen Banks and her daughter, Katie Banks.

Mr. Vogelberger loved working with electronics, CB radios and computers.  He was a car enthusiast.  His love of animals was evidenced by the fact that he and his wife fostered rescue animals.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Florence-Lauderdale Animal Shelter.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Shoals Hospice for their loving care.

  1. I am so sorry to hear of Joe’ passing. I had the pleasure of knowing him for the last 5 years as a fellow bus driver with both Florence City and UNA. Will be praying for all of you.

  3. Audrey I am so sorry! I know he was not just your husband but your soul mate. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you mourn his loss and celebrate his life. You were both a great team when it came to fostering animals which saved the lives of so many.

  4. Joe was the smartest guy I’ve ever met. I don’t think there was anything he couldn’t figure out. He was a good friend and will be missed and remembered by us all.

  6. Dearest Audrey, I am truly sorry for your loss. Joe and you have done so much in the local rescue community over the years and I am forever grateful for that. I love the bond you guys had with each other, your pets and the many foster furbabies you have helped through the years. We will all miss Joe. I will cherish seeing him smile one last time and spending some time with you both that evening. Love and hugs 🥰
