Marshall Chace
Beck

May 22, 1985 - September 21, 2022

It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marshall Chace Beck, age 37, of Florence, Alabama, on September 21, 2022. Chace was a light that brought joy, laughter, and friendship to everyone he met. He never met a stranger, and his presence would always brighten up any room. Chace was very creative and enjoyed music, playing instruments, singing, writing, and anything that would allow him to express himself. He was a graduate of Mars Hill Bible School, Class of 2003. Chace loved to play sports and his favorite was basketball. We will deeply miss Chace and the love he brought to us all.

Chace is survived by his son, Gavin James Beck. His parents, Cynthia Riedout Mitchell (Eddie), Jimmy Wade Beck and Donna Beck. His sister, Jessica Beck West. His brothers, Daniel White (Stacey), Hunter Beck (Ana), and Skyler Beck (Tori). Chace was the grandson of Coriene Riedout and Shelby Beck. He had many aunts and uncles and was “Uncle Chace” to several nieces and nephews.

Chace was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James H. Riedout, and his paternal grandfather, Marshall Ray Beck.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 25, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Daniel White, Hunter Beck, Skyler Beck, Shea West, Collier West, and John Whitten.  In lieu of flowers, an account for his son has been set up at First Southern Bank. Donations can be made out to the Gavin Beck Fund.
