Curtis Ray Lowry, age 90, of Muscle Shoals, passed away  July 7, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lenord and Elna Lowry; his wife, Chole Lowry; and his brothers, Roger and Ted Lowry.

Curtis is survived by Harold Lowry of Texas, Jerry and Joe Lowry of Indiana, along with several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Charles McMahill, Aspen McMahill, Ralph Parrish, Clay Carpenter, Ramon Randolph, Nathan Cox, Evan Ryan, and Tony Saint.

Curtis was an avid hunter who found great joy in the companionship of his loyal hunting dogs and the camaraderie of his fellow hunting club members. A devoted husband, Curtis shared 64 loving years of marriage with his beloved wife, Chole, originally from London, England. Their journey began in Crown Point, Indiana, where they first met. After marrying, the couple settled in Alabama, where Curtis would spend the rest of his life. Above all, he cherished creating lasting memories with Chole, the love of his life.

  1. I don’t remember a time that Curtis and I didn’t share a story about Crown Point, Indiana. From the day we meet till last time we spoke t and all the fun times we both had there. No we did not know each other then.
    We meet when Chole came to work for Big Bear Audio in Sheffield Alabama we worked together for many years.
    Curtis and Chole be came my family. I would share many holidays and events with them. I will miss them both and think of them fondly for the rest of my life. I feel blessed to have had them both in my life. Leisa Johnson
