Howard Jackson “Jackie” Blevins II, age 59 of Florence, passed away April 30, 2026. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 14th from 11 am-12 pm at Williams Funeral Home.

He is preceded in death by his father, Howard Blevins I; stepmother, Kathryn Blevins; mother, Dora Davis; sister, Letitia Stone; brothers, Terry and Tommy Blevins; along with special friend, Renee Peden.

Howard is survived by his children, Billy BJ Blevins, Megan Blevins, Angelann Wallace (Garrett), Trebor Blevins (Kaitlyn), Jonathon Elliotte (Kassy), and Brandon Amis (Haley) all of Florence; his special friend, Sharon Amis; his sister of Ohio, Denise Owens; his brother of Haleyville AL, Mike Blevins (Debbie); his sister of Killen AL, Brenda Burbank Campbell;  his grandchildren, Elizabeth Blevins, Allee Peden, Laylee Lefan, Harlee Lefan, Lynkin Lefan, Orin Lefan, Kolt Wallace, Kasen Wallace, Hazel Blevins, Sage Blevins, Aurora Blevins, Gabrielle Elliotte, Josh Elliotte, Noah Elliotte, Nikk Elliotte, Landon Amis, Riley Beth Amis, Jayden Gooch Amis, Bentley Gooch Amis, Steven Amis, Allison Amis, Savanna Amis, and Brendan Amis.

For many years, Howard was a dedicated part of Rally at the River, helping bring people together through music and community. He believed deeply in using music to help others, and he never hesitated to lend his time and talent to benefit concerts and local causes. If someone needed support, Howard showed up the best way he knew how — with kindness, friendship, and drum sticks in his hands. More than anything, Howard loved playing music. It was not just something he did; it was who he was. His passion, encouragement, and willingness to help others made a lasting impact throughout the Shoals music community and beyond.

Howard will be remembered not only for the songs he played, but for the heart behind them.
